Description
The AAS-T in Materials Science Technology is a professional technical degree with a core of general education courses commonly accepted in transfer. Students in this program train for engineering technician jobs, specializing in aerospace composites, manufacturing, or prepare to pursue a bachelor's degree in programs that have been developed in response to demand from local employers. Classes introduce students to materials science, composite materials, and engineering design. State of the art labs provide students with hands-on experience.

  • Use scientific and mathematical methods, modes of inquiry, and terminology to demonstrate knowledge, comprehension, and application of Materials Science concepts and insights.
  • Safely and appropriately use standard laboratory or field equipment to make precise and reliable measurements.
  • Use scientific and mathematical methods, modes of inquiry, and terminology to demonstrate knowledge, comprehension, and application of science concepts and insights.
  • Focus on composite materials, engineering design, manufacturing of structures.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing and testing equipment used in the industry.
